These past couple years we've been bombarded with Black trauma in real life and on screen. We've been shamed for being our authentic selves (sadly, sometimes by us). But I'm done with all that. Our ancestors fought for happiness and acceptance so surround me with nothing but Black beauty & Black joy.
This is how I'm pulling up to every cookout from now to Juneteenth and beyond. One thing for sure, they ain't gonna have me hot & bothered about my culture, my people, myself, and my happiness. I'm gone celebrate being Black every chance I get.
